How much does a week at a surf camp cost?
The price 163 surf camps publish on their own websites for a week with surf lessons, per person: compared by country, by the meals included and by season, with the page each figure was read on.

What the data shows
- A week at a surf camp with lessons costs €568 per person at the median of 163 published prices. Half of them lie between €458 and €739; the cheapest is €255 and the dearest ≈ €6,990.
- In Portugal, Spain, Morocco, Sri Lanka, and France the median week costs between €490 (Spain) and €628 (France), and a week costing €499–599 sits in the middle half of prices in all 5 of them.
- Across all weeks the median rises with the meals included: €470 with no meals (9 weeks), ≈ €535 with breakfast (48 weeks), €599 with half board (38 weeks), and €649 with full board (46 weeks).
- What a typical week includes changes with the country: in Portugal it is breakfast (18 of 35 weeks, median €563), in Spain it is breakfast (12 of 32 weeks, median €495), in Morocco it is full board (19 of 27 weeks, median €550), in Sri Lanka it is half board (11 of 23 weeks, median €525), and in France it is full board (6 of 13 weeks, median €648).
- High season adds a median 20% to the same week, at the 24 camps that publish both prices; for half of them the increase is between 13% and 26%.
- 141 of the 163 weeks include the board and wetsuit and 34 the airport transfer; 5 lessons or days of lessons is the most common (66 weeks).
- Indonesia and Costa Rica are not in the country comparison: in Indonesia only 18 of 82 camps publish a week per person and Costa Rica has 10 such weeks, fewer than the 12 the comparison asks for.

Costa Rica: 10 of 28 camps publish a week with lessons per person, fewer than the 12 the comparison asks for. They run from ≈ €400 to ≈ €6,990, median ≈ €1,290; 4 include full board.

Low season and high season
Every figure above is the lowest regular price a camp publishes: its cheapest season and its cheapest bed. 24 camps also publish the same week in their dearest season: it costs a median 20% more, and for half of them between 13% and 26% more.
In Portugal (14 camps) the median increase is 22%.
The other 139 weeks have no high-season price recorded for the same package, so they cannot be compared this way.
What the week includes
- Lessons: 129 of the 163 weeks give a number of lessons or days of lessons. 5 is the most common (66 weeks), and 94 give 5 or 6. 21 say “daily” lessons, 7 give no number and 6 are surf guiding for people who already surf, not lessons.
- Board and wetsuit: included in 141 weeks.
- Meals: 48 with breakfast, 38 with half board, 46 with full board and 9 with no meals; 22 pages do not say.
- Room: 48 are a bed in a dorm, 62 a place in a shared room and 17 a private room priced per person; 36 pages do not say.
- Nights: 132 are 7 nights and 23 are 6 nights; 8 say “a week” without the number.
- Airport transfer: included in 34 weeks.

How it was done
What counts as a surf week: the lowest regular price a camp publishes, per person, for a week (6 to 8 nights) with surf lessons included, or with daily surf guiding at camps for people who already surf. Stays without lessons, prices per room and boat or road trips are not in it.
Where the prices come from: each was read on the camp’s own website on October 13, 2026, and is kept with the address of the page and the sentence that states it. A price is used only when the page says it is per person, or the unit is a bed. None comes from a booking platform and none is estimated.
The lowest regular price: where a page gives a table by season, its cheapest row; early-bird and last-minute discounts are not used.
24 of the 163 weeks are two published prices added together, the stay and the camp’s own surf course, because the camp sells them separately. They are marked “stay + surf course” with both amounts. Nothing else is worked out: a price per night is never turned into a week.
Currency: the figures are in euros. 133 of the 163 prices are published in that currency; the other 30 (22 in US dollars, 6 in Indonesian rupiah, and 2 in pounds sterling) are converted at the European Central Bank’s reference rate of October 13, 2026. Every figure that rests on a converted price is marked ≈ and rounded: to the nearest 5 from 100 up, to the nearest 10 from 1,000 up.
Median and middle half: half of the weeks cost less than the median and half more; the middle half runs from the 25th to the 75th percentile. No figure is given for fewer than 5 weeks.
Left out: 8 weeks: 6 because the page does not say whether its weekly pack includes the lessons; 2 because the page could not be read on the day of the check.
What this does not show: of the 378 camps in our catalogue, 163 (43%) publish a week that meets these rules. The rest publish no price, price by the night or by the room, or do not say what the price covers, and nothing here says what they cost. Our catalogue is the camps we list in 12 countries, not every surf camp in each. A published price is what a camp asks, not what guests paid, and taxes or fees added at checkout are not included.
